PLATEAU LMS Adminstrator - myFirstCareer



Being served as a LMS admin for 3.6 years for a Pharmaceutical company, I would like to share my experience that gained, to refer in future. Started my career as a fresher in Q4 2009. After the 3 month initial training, my first role started as an Incident Analyst for the PLATEAU LMS in the Q1 2010. The application was newly launched into Production and the load is very huge. On an average, 300 incidents is the minimum count that were handled by that time. Being a fresher, i was placed in different shifts (APAC/UK/Evening/US/Night) and addressed many minor and major application and configuration related stuff.  Performance based, my role has been upgraded as an Incident Lead within 10 months, with an additional responsibility of handling incident team, chairing weekly incidents review meeting with Business, escalating to Problem Management team about high-impacted issues, participating in the weekly problem management meeting happens between Application team, Business team and Technical team. Within a year of time, joined as a Problem Analyst to assist the current PM team. Finally, promoted as a Problem Management Lead and served for almost an year by closely working with Change Management team, Creating change records, preparing implementation, backout and testing plans, discussing them in the Change Advisory Board (CAB) meeting, identifying the root cause for the problems identified, preparing FAQs/KSDs, working with vendor to have permanent solution for the root cause unidentified issues, testing the vendor provided solution in non-production environment before proceeding to production environment. Finally relieved from the project on 14-July-2013.
